We are Curo Health – a GP federation formed from 27 general practices spanning 4 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) across North Kirklees.

We proudly work together as a community of general practices to help save money, secure investment, strengthen our teams and deliver high quality primary care services at scale – such as evening and weekend appointments.

For the people of North Kirklees, our joint approach always aims to create better standards of care, shorter waiting times and faster access to care, right in the heart of our communities where it should be.

FAQs

What is a GP federation?

A group of general practices usually covering a large geographical area or town that work together to plan and deliver primary care services at scale. By doing this, we use NHS resources more sustainably and resiliently and it allows individual GP practices to deliver the best care to local people.

What is a primary care network?

A smaller group of general practices working together with a range of local providers, including across primary care, community services, social care and the voluntary sector, to offer more personalised, coordinated health and social care to their local communities. Read more here

Why isn't my GP practice providing services like evening and weekend appointments?

This sort of service is an additional service commissioned by NHS North Kirklees CCG to complement existing GP services within North Kirklees. By running the service from a central location, using existing North Kirklees clinicians, we are able to provide this vital service sustainably for local people. By working as a group of practices, we can also offer a wider range of services to you, such as routine nurse appointments.
